Founded in 1982 the Ayrshire Vintage Tractor and Machinery Club is now celebrating it's thirtieth year and boasts a superb following of over 300 members. The Club’s aim is to foster the preservation of Vintage Machinery in Ayrshire. The Club holds two Road Runs, an Easter Road Run (April) and a Harvest Road Run (August) in each year. This year’s Easter Road Run had a fantastic entry of one hundred and seven tractors.
The Club holds a huge Rally each year which is now hosted by Craig Wilson Ltd at Whitefordhill, Ayr. This years Rally takes place on Sunday 20th July.
There are seven winter evening meetings from October to April which are held within the Gailes Hotel, Irvine. These meetings are very popular with up to one hundred and fifty members in attendance. Last winter’s average was one hundred and twenty two at each meeting. New members are always welcome click the link below to apply.
There is a Club Newsletter, which has a circulation of around three hundred and fifty, some of which are sent as far afield as France, Holland, America, Australia and New Zealand. The Club also holds a Burns Supper every second year.
